The management team comprises Indonesian and international professionals with extensive experience at global mining companies.

The mine sites and port are managed by Indonesian nationals with strong operational knowledge. This has developed over years of service with world-class resources company BHPBilliton, the former majority owner of Arutmin. Arutmin managers have worked extensively at BHPBilliton coal projects in the US and Australia.

Site managers work closely with a sizeable workforce of expatriate and Indonesian contractors. PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia, a subsidiary of Thiess Pty Ltd in Australia, is a major contractor.

Arutmin's highly streamlined and experienced workforce, combined with specialist contractors providing flexible services, generates cost-efficient operations.

About 30 % of the Indonesian workforce is from South Kalimantan. The advanced capacity of senior local employees to manage community issues allows the company to operate in a stable environment.
