Year of 2009 - Successfully Passed The Company Target

Production always becomes the main concern for all companies. In 2009, Arutmin Indonesia's production not only met the target succesfully but also passed the original numbers. Arutmin Indonesia succedeed to produce 22,42 million ton coals or seven percent over the target from 20,95 million tons.

Beside that, for overburden stripping, Arutmin Indonesia exceeded 27 percent over the target. More than 164 million bcm of overburden was stripped in 2009.

Generally, Arutmin Indonesia succeed in giving best performance, especially compared to 2008 because , the increase is very high.

The key factors behind this achievement were a good mining plan optimally implemented in each site, heavy equipment avaibility, maximum cooperation with all parties including contractors, and weather condition as well.

The contributions also came from the completion of Asam-asam port construction in Kabupaten Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan Province and some permits obtained. During 2009, Arutmin Indonesia was capable of minimizing the cost of mining production, including coal mining, coal production, and overhead cost.
