TRANSPORT AND BARGING

The products from Senakin and Satui mines travel between 9 km and 20 km by truck and are stockpiled at one of Arutmin's four barge ports.

East Senakin coal is hauled approximately 27 km to Sembilang barge port while West Senakin coal is transported 15.5 km to stockpiles at Air Tawar 2 barge port.

Satui coal is transported about 45 km to the Muara Satui barge port where the crushing facilities are located. The processed coal is stacked into stockpiles before being loaded directly onto barges.

Batulicin coal is transported about 70 km to the Batulicin barge port where the crushing facilities are located. The processed coal is stacked into stockpiles before being loaded directly onto barges.

At the barge ports coal is loaded onto Arutmin's fleet of 8 custom-built, self-discharging barges which have capacity of either 7,000 dwt or 3,500 dwt, or to flat top barges for transshipping or direct delivery to customer. From this point coal travels either direct to domestic and regional customers, to the North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal (NPLCT), or to a transshipment point.
